Turkey Quesadilla

A quesadilla is a Mexican dish: a tortilla, filled with cheese, often with various types of meat, spices and other ingredients to taste. After being prepared raw, the dish is baked in the oven. Traditionally, corn tortillas are used for rolling, although since the dish has spread beyond Mexico, it has also been made with wheat tortillas.

Ingredients used in the recipe:

 

  • Tortilla - 2 pieces
  • Pinari turkey fillet - 100g
  • Olive oil - 10ml
  • Onion - 20g
  • Mushrooms - 20g
  • Red bell pepper - 30g
  • Yellow bell pepper - 30g
  • Grated cheese - 40g
  • Parsley - 5g
  • Cajun seasoning - 2g
  • Salt - to taste

 

Preparation instructions:

 

  • Finely chop all ingredients
  • Fry the bell pepper, onion, turkey meat and mushrooms in a pan - in the given order
  • Add spices
  • Remove from heat and add finely chopped parsley
  • Place one layer of tortilla on the pan and transfer to a pre-heated oven. Prepared meat, vegetable and cheese mixture
  • Place the second layer of tortilla on top of the transferred mixture
  • Close the lid. Make sure both tortilla layers are fried
  • Use the sauce as a garnish, enjoy!
